On the 22nd May Mercedes released the full price list and latest specs for its revised C-Class saloon and estate models. The improvements include an improved infotainment and connectivity system as well as a range of brand new engines.
The Mercedes C-Class is one of the most common models in the UK with nearly 46,000 new ones registered in 2017 alone. The new facelift may seem significant but this is what it takes to stay on top in this industry and Mercedes is one company that does this so well.
While much of the original design has stayed the same Mercedes have made some minor changes which we believe only benefit them. The changes include new bumpers, revised headlights and tail-lamp feature as well as now offering the option for a full LED set-up.
Similarly to Mercedes larger versions of the E-Class and S-Class, the C-Class features a completely overhauled infotainment system. The more advanced infotainment system features a new 10.25-inch screen and better control with touch-sensitive panels on the steering wheel.
As well as the addition of the bigger screen, all C-Classes now come equipped with a reversing camera, heated front seats, satellite navigation, and adaptive cruise control.
On top of all of this Mercedes have also included their 'Energizing Comfort Control' system. This system has been developed to help improve the driver's well-being, especially on longer journeys. This is done through the manipulation of the air conditioning, perfumed scents, heated seats, specially developed ventilation and massage functions.
If you are interested then Mercedes has an additional option which can be picked up for an additional £2,795 a year. This additional pack offers a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel to replace the standard analogue one, 64-colour interior ambient lighting, Comand online, intelligent LED lighting and wireless phone charging.
At launch in early July, the C-Class will be offered with the choice of 3 different engines. The new engines include the C 220 d which is already featured in the E-Class, the C 200, C 200 4Matic & Mercedes-AMG C 43. Mercedes also has plans to release two new Plug-in hybrid versions in early 2019.
Overall here at Britannia Car Finance, we believe the new changes to the Mercedes C-Class are welcomed and definitely worth the additional £4,000. If you are interested in picking up a new C-Class for yourself then give us a call today to see how we can help you get into the new C-Class.
